Logging On to Web/MAX

At the Web/MAX Login Screen, enter your User Number and Password in the areas provided, then press Enter. If you're simply visiting and want to peruse the catalog, then enter your First and Last Names in the spaces provided and press Enter.

Read the information on this page to confirm that it is accurate prior to using the system.

PLEASE NOTE: The forward and back buttons on the button bar of your browser can cause problems by sending old data back to the media reservation system. Please avoid using these buttons, and instead use the navigation buttons supplied by Web/MAX.

Search the On-Line Catalog Database Page

You have accessed Web/MAX's Simplified Search page.
Please review the following instructions prior to using the system:

Located on the left-hand side of the screen are control functions.
In order to maneuver your way through the system, you may click on any of the following controls:

To search the entire catalog for a particular topic, subject, etc., enter the desired information and then click on Search. To configure your search for specific formats, grade levels, etc., use the Additional Search Options -- see below.

To begin your search, simply enter a word and click Search. Note: the yellow text boxes are Help centers. The information they contain will change depending upon where the cursor is positioned.

 Ready for a Search on civil war


Web/MAX has found 14 items that contain "civil war." Because the system has been set to display 12 items at one time, only that number are on the screen. Web/MAX displays all of the information that is typically found in a printed catalog. Additionally, all of the subjects are hyper linked. Finally, by clicking on the Select box, you can build a list of items to order.

Once you have made your selection(s) and clicked on Next, the system returns the following display. Verify that the View Date is acceptable for your use of the media. By default, Web/MAX picks the next available date. The Ship and Due dates are calculated by the system to correspond automatically with the Media Center's shipping schedule.

This section describes what the above screen represents, and what options are available.

Once you have made any changes to your order and clicked on Next from the previous screen, the system will display the following screen. At this time you should double check to be sure the order is correct. The next step is to enter your email address. This needs to be entered one time only. It will display each time you use the system for your reference, and also if you want to make any changes, for example if your email address changed. Note: In order for the system to process your requests properly, you must click on Confirm. Use the Confirm selection located under the email address box.

The following screen is displayed after clicking Confirm from the previous screen. In addition to receiving a Confirmation via email, you can also print a copy locally. Simply click on the Print command located in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
