It not only works with Tek Data's online media booking software
(see TOMMS), but it also can be configured
to work with most any online catalog program or fully independent.
The Media Player plays videos at the highest quality possible by dynamically
adapting to the available bandwidth and client computer
capabilities.
The Media Studio prepares your multimedia resources
to be streamed across the web.
The Media Server provides the capability to transmit prepared multimedia files and streaming multimedia
content over the web to multiple independent users.
What Is Streaming Multimedia?
Streaming Multimedia is digital video and/or audio that
travels over a network in packets that are played as your computer
receives
them. Streaming media is instantaneous, meaning you don't have
to download any files to your hard drive. By streaming multimedia
content, you can view lengthy video segments and entire movies
in real-time with one simple click of the mouse.
To view samples of streaming multimedia content, click on
the "Sample TOMMS Player" link below. The sample is played using Tek
Data's TOMMS player. Depending upon the player(s) that is / are
pre-installed on your computer, the TOMMS player may ask you to
select your player preference. This is a one time only step. The
system "remembers" your preference the next time that
the system is used.
