Windows 95/98
Select Start > Settings > Control panel >
Network or Right Click the Network Neighborhood icon on your
desktop and select Properties.
In the Configuration tab highlight TCP/IP "ethernet cardx" and select Properties.
Select the IP Address tab and make changes to Address and Subnet.
Use the Gateway tab to provide or change the Default
values.
Select OK.
System may request Win 95/98 CD. Simply follow the onscreen
instructions.
Windows 2000
Log on to the computer by using the Administrator account.
Click Start > Settings > click Control Panel.
In Control Panel, double-click Network and Dial-up Connections.
The Network and Dial-up Connections dialog box opens.
Right-click the local area connection that you want, and then click Properties.
The Local Area Network Connection Properties dialog box opens.
In the Components checked are used by this connection box, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP),
and then click Properties. The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box appears.
Make the necessary changes to the IP Address, Subnet mask, and Gateway here and click OK.
In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click OK.
Close the Network and Dial-up Connections window.
Windows XP
Log on to the computer by using the Administrator account.
Right click the My Network Places icon on the Desktop
and select Properties. The Network Connections window opens.
Double click the Local Area Connection you want to change.
The Local Area Connection Status dialog box opens.
In the General tab, click Properties. The Local Area Connection Properties
dialog box opens.
In the Components checked are used by this connection
box, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.
The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box appears.
Make the necessary changes to the IP Address, Subnet
mask, and Gateway here and click OK.
In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box,
click OK.
Click Close on the Local Area Connection Status window.
Close the Network Connections window.
